caractère difficile

Digital art of my hyena fursona Blake in the style of the album cover of caractère difficile, an album by Darius of Halley Labs, it's a profile view of 3 monochrome sketches, with increasing complexity, detail, and other changes as they go down, namely Blake getting longer hair, a stud earring, eyeshadow, and an overall more feminine/androgynous appearance

the text reads 'caractère difficile' but the letters are missing in some places and scattered throughout. there's minor glitch artifacting as well

I've actually done a Darius album cover redraw more than once! If you know me well enough it should make sense.

This was also the first Darius cover I've redrawn, and one of the first HL albums I listened to in... the past... decade or so? It's been a long time. This is reflected here, I think.

I thought I could let go forever. Later I figured out, at scale, what being let go of feels like. If you're going to, you have to really, really mean it. There can't be something left that still resonates, and makes more sense to you than everything else.

If the way you compose yourself is different, if your color becomes unfamiliar, there's a reason for that. Whether it's sudden, or only manifests against the backdrop of time, there's an answer. Even when everything is so, so complicated... there's an answer.

With no one to stop me, I went back for my answer.
